A Message from the President2026–27
Make this year’s effortsnext year’s starting point.
Help different skills find their place in service, and let the experience we build together strengthen those who take the next turn.

To everyone sharing this journey
To everyone sharing this journey
As I take my turn as president for 2026–27, I am most grateful for the foundations laid by our founding members, past presidents and every member of the club. Yunling’s growth did not begin this year, and it should not end with any presidency. Together, I hope we can carry the trust and action we have built further, on a firmer footing.
My studies in pharmacy and traditional Chinese medicine have taught me to ask whether service responds to people’s needs. Running a business and working with digital tools have given me another habit: asking how a good idea can become work we can carry out, improve and hand over. These experiences do not mean I can solve everything myself. They make me believe more strongly in the value of people with different skills working together.
I hope Yunling can be a place where younger people want to join, experienced members’ knowledge is valued, and participation fits alongside work and family. Some share their expertise, some give their time, and others connect resources. There should be a place for every way of contributing.
In service, we want to understand the need before deciding how to help. From support for children with developmental delays and their families to accompanying young people, caring for community health and working with other clubs, what matters is not just how many events we hold. It is whether someone can keep showing up and responding after an activity ends.
Through our website, records and Xiao Yunling, I also hope to reduce repeated administrative work and preserve what we have done and the methods that work. Technology’s value lies not in replacing people, but in giving our partners more time for understanding, relationships and service.
A club president serves for just one year, but the connections we build together can last much longer. Thank you to everyone willing to walk alongside us. You are welcome, too: begin with a gathering or a service activity, and help us make this year’s efforts next year’s starting point.

What matters to us this year
Four everyday priorities drawn from our existing annual blueprint for serving together.
A place for every generation
Help new members settle in while valuing the experience of longtime members. Through professional exchange and shared responsibilities, find ways to serve that can coexist with work and family.
Find your way to take partService that continues beyond one occasion
Our support for children with developmental delays and their families reminds us to understand needs, stay alongside people and work together. These principles guide continuity in service for children, young people and communities.

Keep service records, useful methods and lessons from handovers. Public communication and Xiao Yunling can reduce repeated work, while human relationships and judgment remain at the heart of service.
