01 · FIND YOUR PATH

Four core programmes

Rotary International programme

RYLA · Rotary Youth Leadership Awards

Practise communication, problem-solving and leadership through teamwork—not just a lecture.

Who it is for

Young people interested in leadership. Rotary generally serves ages 14–30; each event sets its own eligibility.

What happens

Workshops, team challenges, discussion and service learning. Formats may include seminars, camps or a series of activities.

Before applying

Check District 3470's annual age limits, places, dates, fees and nomination process. This introduction does not mean Yunling is recruiting.

Rotary International programme

RYE · Rotary Youth Exchange

Live and learn in another culture while developing independence and understanding.

Who it is for

Students and parents interested in intercultural learning. Rotary generally serves ages 15–19; districts may use a narrower range.

What happens

Long-term exchange usually lasts an academic year, with local schooling and host families. Short-term exchange may last several days to three months through camps, visits or homestays.

Before applying

Outbound and hosting responsibilities differ. Confirm selection, language preparation, insurance, costs, parental consent and hosting arrangements under the current district rules.

District & local education support

Rotary Children

Continuing educational companionship and assistance for children and families.

Who it is for

Children and families assessed and matched through the annual project, schools or partners—not only Rotarians' children.

What happens

Connect club members, schools and partners. Record matching, support delivered and outcomes separately, without double-counting across projects.

Before applying

Eligibility, support and matching follow the annual scheme. Contact the club; do not post children's personal information publicly.

District & local education support

Life Bridge education programme

Helping young people continue their studies and explore careers with professional companionship.

Who it is for

Students nominated by partner schools and selected under the annual rules. Enrolment and eligibility follow the project notice.

What happens

Combine educational assistance, mentoring and career learning. Yunling's existing project page remains the source for its plan and schedule.

Before applying

Check school nomination, selection, attendance and assistance rules. Planned budgets and places are not delivered outcomes.

04 · TAKE THE NEXT STEP

How to participate

Students, parents, teachers and members offering expertise can first explore and enquire. Rotary membership is not required to ask a question.

  1. Choose a programme suited to your needs.

  2. Use Yunling's existing contact channel and state the programme, your question and how to reply.

  3. Obtain the current official information, then follow the organiser's nomination, selection or application process.

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply for all four programmes on this website?

Not necessarily. This area provides information and enquiries; application links are provided only when a verified process is open. The club anniversary form is not a youth programme application.

Is RYE the same as an overseas club visit?

No. Student exchange involves selection, education, hosting and safeguarding. Club visits, conventions and friendship exchanges are different activities.

Does a past date prove an activity was completed?

No. Activity dates, publication dates and confirmed outcomes are distinguished. Unverified outcomes are not counted as completed results.

Who handles offers of volunteering, mentoring or resources?

Contact Yunling with the programme and help you can offer. The relevant team will confirm needs; participants and host families must still follow the organiser's procedures.
