Go deeper, or make friends?
Action Groups: global service circles
Water, health, environment, education, peace, disaster relief — members worldwide working on these topics are here. Ask how, find resources, find partners abroad. Doing Slow-flying Angels or community service and want cases from abroad? Start here.
- How to join: find the Action Groups directory on rotary.org, or inside My Rotary, pick a topic and contact the group directly.
- Some groups charge dues — pay the group directly, not through the club.
- Joined? Do not just lurk — bring good ideas back to the committee chair so the whole club benefits.
Remember: joining for yourself needs no approval; speaking under Yunling’s name or spending club money needs club agreement first.
Fellowships: global hobby circles
Cycling, golf, photography, food, tea, running, music, travel — nothing to do with service, fun first. Before a visit abroad or a sister-club exchange, check shared hobbies: common ground breaks ice better than gifts.
- How to join: find the Fellowships list on rotary.org, pick an interest and contact the group directly.
- Some groups charge dues — just pay the group directly.
- Send trip photos to the club editor — the best club image material.

Name or club wrong?
Tell Hsiu-ju and it gets fixed. Switch to Chinese first if English is hard.
Donation missing?
International posting is slow — wait a few weeks. If still missing, check club records with the Xiao Yunling system first, then send date, amount and item to the treasurer for reconciliation.
Weak English / new to computers?
Totally normal. Switch to Chinese; if still stuck, ask Hsiu-ju directly — everyone starts somewhere.
How many groups to join?
None is fine. Get My Rotary sorted plus one intro course first, add more only when needed.
