🦷 If your child has difficulty getting to the dental office, let the office come to your child.
In Malolos, Bulacan, Philippines, a community assessment found that local dentists and facilities were inadequate and many school children struggled to receive regular dental care.
The Rotary Club of Malolos is not just holding another short-term free clinic.
Through the global grant (Global Grant) of The Rotary Foundation (The Rotary Foundation) and the support of international partners, they handed over a fully equipped mobile dental clinic vehicle to the Bulacan provincial education unit for use.
No more just waiting for your child to go to the clinic——
Clinics can also proactively go into schools and communities to continue to provide preventive oral care.
What is really worth noting about this story is not just a mobile dental car, but how to transform "one-time service" into "a service that can continue to operate."
As for Rotary Club of Yunlin Yunling, Global Grant is not a distant international term.
For 2026–27, the Rotary Club of Yunlin Yunling plans to participate in 3 Global Grant projects.
Among them, the Global Grant project sponsored by Rotary Club of Mailiao and participated by Yunling Society:
📚 "LIGHT UP! Illuminating reading ability - Reading literacy support team training and sustainable construction plan in rural areas of Yunlin Haixian"
has been officially approved by The Rotary Foundation.
This project focuses on Rotary's "Basic Education and Literacy" focus area. Through SmartReading reading literacy diagnosis and related tools, it helps schools understand students' reading starting points and learning needs, and combines teacher training, adaptive reading and achievement tracking to establish a long-term reading literacy support mechanism.
From the mobile dental clinic in Bulacan, Philippines, to the reading literacy support in Yunlin Sealine, Taiwan, the service topics, locations, and partners may be different, but the core is actually the same:
See needs and connect resources so that services can continue to operate and continue to make changes after the project ends.
Create Lasting Impact.
Make service not just happen once, but actually leave an impact.
People of Action.
