[Career Sharing|Friend Liu Zhaolin, Dr. Joseph|My Career/Road to Dental Implantation]
Starting from the Department of Pharmacy to determined to become a doctor, Joseph’s life is not a straight line, but a road paved with persistence and faith.
While studying at the National Defense Medical College, he was not only a student, but also a leader - he served as the head of the Department of Pharmacy and the vice president of the Pharmaceutical Society, demonstrating excellent organizational and leadership skills. At the same time, he received military medical training from the Medical College, and interned at the Veterans Pharmaceutical Factory and Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, laying a solid medical foundation.
After entering the army, he gained experience in the health company of the Huadong Defense Command, where he led troops from a platoon leader to the leader of the health supply team (pharmacy officer). He was responsible for the management of medical supplies and equipment for all army units in Hualien and Taitung, which is a heavy responsibility. Later, he was promoted to company commander and concurrently served as the commander's military medical specialist staff officer, leading 20 officers and 50 non-commissioned officers to continue to improve themselves under high pressure.
After being rotated back to the Tri-Service General Hospital, within six years, he was continuously promoted from general pharmacist to team leader of outpatient and emergency pharmacy, inpatient pharmacy and traditional Chinese medicine bureau. In addition to continuing to improve her professional skills in pharmacy, she also spent time after get off work to participate in the special examination course for traditional Chinese medicine.
In order to realize his dream, he resolutely gave up the opportunity of lifelong salary and retired from the army after serving as a professional officer for nine years. In two years, he successfully changed his career and passed the 中國醫藥大學 dental department.
After graduating and obtaining a dental license, he continued to work hard and obtained multiple specialist licenses. He also served as the vice president of the Taiwan Society of Minimally Invasive Implant Dentistry and a director of the Yunlin County Dental Association to serve fellow doctors.
He laughed and said that maybe the "bone-grower's prediction" came true, but more importantly, he always believed: "If you want to be famous in front of others, you will have to suffer in the back.". Eventually, he became a dentist and specialized in the field of dental implants. He currently established the Tiyamo Dental Clinic in his hometown of Douliu to provide the public with the best dental and dental implant services.
Successfully switching from "pharmacist" to "dentist" is not only a career change, but also a challenge and breakthrough for oneself. The hard work and efforts along the way have confirmed the saying - dreams are never easy, but they are worth going all out.
Joseph’s life tells us——
Every journey will not be in vain, and every choice is to get closer to the goal in your heart.
